Cabo- What did we actually do?

Flight arrives at 4:20pm on 020610. We took a taxi (suburban) for $80 from the airport. We stopped at a grocery in SJC for water and beer. Loving that we could drink all the way there. Checked into Siesta Suites. Perfect place for the money. We were in town, close to everything. The bed was comfortable, but had a plastic cover.
Drinks at Nowhere Bar
Dinner that night was at El Coral. It had wood fire grill outside. We started with the shrimp ceviche, I had beef tacos and T had scallops- served with mashed potatoes and mexican squash. The restaurant offers free tequila shots with dinner. No thank you senior. After dinner we stopped for a drink in the courtyard backing up to Cabo Wabo, then at Salvatore's in the courtyard of Siesta Suites.

Sunday- Breakfast at Alexander; on the Marina by the Nowhere Bar. T had the fruit and yogurt plate- yum. I had what I thought would be an egg and ham croissant with avocado but was a ham and cheese croissant with a side of fries. Ended up being unexpectedly fantastic. The coffee (cafe americano) was excellent.

Lunch- searched out Gordo Lele's taco stand. It was packed with one group. Had no idea what to expect- amazing taco's could do with just one. Finding Lele's is easy if you can find the Giggling Marlin- walk 1.5 blocks away from marina.
Gordo obviously loves the Beatles and Elvis. He comes out and sings Beatles songs and mimics playing on a mini guitar, piano and harmonica. The waiter/helper there has a dog hanging out... his name is Meatball the lazy bulldog.

After lunch we went in search of a place to watch the super bowl in English. We had a drink at Pocho's (next to ole ole)- and they have an amazing looking caprese - saw it but didn't order it.
Superbowl: Taco Cantina on the main street next to that big loud casino across the street from Diamonds International. Colts vs Saints. Corona Light with limes=yum.
We ordered a crazy stupid big platter of dips and vegetables. The green dip that I thought was an avocado dip ended up being flaming hot. I had hiccups for a half hour. It had Cucumbers, salsa, cabbage, fire and chips. The bathroom key was a 2 foot painted wooden cactus.

Cabo gets cold when the sun goes down. I need to remember to bring more sleeved clothing. There was a commercial on during the Super Bowl about vampire tv shows that ended up being s Challenger commercial.
Siesta Suites:
I got up early Sunday because I had the window open and the rooster started crowing at the ass crack of dawn followed by a car alarm. So I got up and laid on the couch in the living room/kitchen to watch sun rise and read. There is a Church next door to Siesta, so you get a serenade on sunday morning and just about every night. The bathroom has a slight latrine smell you get a lot in Mexico. The room is good; small, efficient. Plenty of room to put bags and stuff. We didn't really unpack since we were moving to PBSB on wednesday. We loved the location and all the available cheap restaurants around.
