Satying at the Steamboat Grand :)
We ate the first night right after rolling into town at Mambo Italiano
For starters; Mambo Tootsie Rolls - yum. ricotta and pesto in an egg roll wrapper.
Bruchetta - very very yum. Winter season, tomatoes are always 50/50. but these weren't mushy and the bals. vin. reduction they use to drizzle the whole mess was deep food lovin.
A & I both had the chicken Marsala. It was good, but not what I had expected. The mushrooms (I think locally sourced) were tasty and the chicken was good. I personally like my marsala to be a bit on the saucy side. T and D both had the Frutti de Mare and it wasn't the best they've had. I loved the blended wine we had. Now, I can't remember the name but it was a sangiovese, cab, merlot.
Day 1 Mountain. NICE NICE NICE. we flew back to morningside and reveled in the sparce population. as it got busy, we went frontside. Still, nice nice nice. caught the lift up after the noodle leg set in to ridde towards the gondola to meet D. we had a couple of Bloody Marys and a mountain of nacho.. NACHO MUNDO.
